I have been doing meditation since Jul 2023 and I got great results of it on my body and mind.

  • It had helped reduce my migraine attack to almost 0.
  • I feel emotionally very much stronger now.
  • I am very much aware of my thoughts so I hardly swayed away with my negative thought process. If in case it happens then I can easily get them on track.
  • My self-talk is very much positive now.
  • It has helped me stay in the present moment in my daily life.
  • It has reduced my stress level.

If you’re new to meditation and unsure where to start, here is a step-by-step guide to help you get started.

1. Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without distractions.

2. Pay attention to your posture, making sure your spine is straight and your shoulders are relaxed.

3. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, focusing on the sensation of the air entering and leaving your body.

4. Now, notice the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen as you breathe in and out. Try to breathe deeply and slowly, allowing your breath to become smooth and even.

5. You can continue focusing on your breath or you can also try focusing on a specific object or mantra like OM to help keep your mind centered. Continue doing this as long as you feel comfortable.

6. As you do this, thoughts come into your mind but acknowledge them without judgment and gently let them go. Bring your attention back to your breath whenever you find yourself getting caught up in thoughts.

7. When you are ready to end your meditation, slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and take a few deep breaths before opening your eyes.

These are the simple steps that can help you start your meditation journey.

Start with just a few minutes and gradually increase the length of your meditation sessions as you become more comfortable with the practice.

Remember that meditation is a skill that takes time and practice to develop. Be patient with yourself and don’t get discouraged if your mind wanders or if you find it difficult to sit still. With regular practice, you will begin to experience the many benefits that meditation has to offer.

So, find a quiet space, sit or lie down comfortably, focus on your breath, let go of distractions, and practice regularly. Before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to a calmer, more centered mind.
